Startups attack digital media rights
A new EU proposal is facing criticism from a number of start-ups, who fear that the proposal will stifle innovation at birth and stop new business ideas from becoming reality.
“It will definitely limit our options. When things like this come down the throat of a company like us, and there are limits to what we can do, it creates uncertainty. It slows down innovation and the ability to do smart things,” says Jakob Benediktsson, CEO of Lasso X, which runs Lasso.dk where it is possible to read robot-generated news about Danish business, based on public data sources.
